Admissions Requirements and Procedures

Requirements
High school diploma, Commonwealth Secondary School Diploma, GED or the equivalent, or scores on Automotive Training Center's Ability to Benefit (ATB) Test that meet the minimums established by the U.S. Department of Education. Students admitted on the basis of Ability-to-Benefit are strongly encouraged to obtain their GED. Additional requirements are:
· Satisfactory score on the entrance assessment exam;
· Personal interview and tour of the school.
· Students must be beyond the age of compulsory high school attendance

Procedures
Upon successfully completing the admissions requirements, applicants must complete an Enrollment Agreement and submit the Registration Fee of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00).
The school will promptly notify the applicant of the School Director’s decision for acceptance upon receipt of an enrollment application. The school will refund the registration fee in full if an applicant is not accepted.

Advanced Standing
Applicants with previous comparable training may be admitted with advanced standing and have their training period condensed if their schooling, experience and/or the results of term-specific examinations so warrant. There is no fee for this service. Tuition and related costs will be prorated to reflect the remaining portion of the program. Requests should be submitted to the school director or designate at least 5 school days prior to starting the program. Requests submitted after starting the program will not be considered.
