5 Reasons to Attend the Philadelphia Auto Show

blacktie2016media_0165Never-before-seen concepts, redesigned models, and countless auto enthusiasts like yourself. If you’re a fellow motor head, locking down tickets to the Philadelphia Auto Show should be on your immediate to-do list.

At Automotive Training Center (ATC), we make attending the Philly Auto Show an annual tradition for staying up-to-date on the latest industry developments. 2017’s show dates are just around the corner (January 28 to February 5), so here are 5 reasons to check out the 2017 Philly Auto Show!

1. Participate in Auto Show History

The Philadelphia Auto Show has been giving potential car shoppers and avid enthusiasts an exclusive walkaround of the upcoming year’s models since 1902.

The show, which is held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in downtown Philly, has grown exponentially over the last few years. Over the course of the week’s events, there will be over 250,000 people and 700+ vehicles in attendance.

2. Cars as Far as the Eye Can See

All major manufacturers attend, from Acura through Volvo, which means you can look forward to seeing mainstream sedans, trucks, and SUVs plus performance-primed luxury rides, exotic vehicles, and even revamped antiques.

Being set loose in the Convention Center’s massive 700,000-square-foot space is like walking through one huge vehicle showroom with a polished new ride to check out every few steps. Now that’s a car lover’s dream!

3. Some Auto Show Etiquette Need Not Apply

At a typical auto show, you’d need to respect the owner’s vehicle by admiring it from an appropriate distance. But part of the beauty of the Philadelphia Auto Show is that you have full permission to pop the hood, get behind the wheel, and pick the brains of product specialists.

As a non-selling show, there’s no competition between manufacturers to sell you a vehicle. That means you’re in a totally pressure-free environment where you can appreciate the cars instead of worrying about haggling about your trade-in value.

4. New Car Innovations Converge

Each year, hundreds of concept vehicles debut at the Philly Auto Show wearing compelling new elements, from engines that incorporate cutting-edge fuel sources to car builds that break the mold with their out-of-the box contours and characteristics.

See technology demos and get a firsthand look at the mechanics behind fascinating new features. The Philly Auto Show is your prime chance to get up to speed on exciting industry advancements.

5. Give Back to a Great Cause at the Black Tie Gala Tailgate

Before all of this goes down on January 28, attendees interested in a preview of the event can attend the auto show’s Black Tie Gala Tailgate on the evening of January 27. Dress up, enjoy topnotch Philly eats, and mix and mingle by a sneak peek selection of the show’s most anticipated debut vehicles.

Proceeds from the gala will benefit the Division of Neurology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Seeing fantastic cars and giving back to a great cause? It doesn’t get much better than that.
