The top achieving participants are invited back to ATC later in the school year to interview with ATC’s Independent Scholarship Committee. At the conclusion of the interviews with the scholarship finalists, the committee selects the scholarship recipients.
Seniors taking this test are not required to be enrolled at ATC to participate in the scholarship program. We highly encourage any high school senior considering post-secondary automotive or marine service education to participate in the competition. It may provide an opportunity to help defray the cost for part or all of your program costs!

A school presentation followed by a question and answer session are provided while the seniors are taking the test, a great chance to learn more about what ATC can offer your student. Refreshments are served!

Automotive Training Center, Warminster, PA becomes the New Training Location for Chrysler Academy Technical Training Services

Rob Dunion (left) ATC graduate and Instructor for the Chrysler Academy and Don VanDemark, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of ATC.
The Chrysler Academy, which was previously located in Malvern PA, provides manufacturer training classes to professional technicians employed by its franchise dealers in the northeast region. The relocation of the training center was due in part to the current economic conditions and subsequent downsizing of Chrysler's franchise dealers. Several hundred dealer technicians are expected to be trained and certified on new car models throughout the year at the new ATC site.
Rob Dunion, a graduate of ATC in 1979, has been a training instructor for the Chrysler Academy for the past 11 years. Dunion commented "Raytheon searched extensively for the best location to relocate the technical training programs designated for the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge Dealers. ATC's outstanding facility and convenient location made it a perfect choice for the Philadelphia region training location."
Don VanDemark, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of ATC noted "the relationship with the Chrysler Academy benefits our students tremendously. The exposure to the manufacturer's information, technology and products provides a valuable training opportunity for our instructors which in turn will be passed on to our students."
ATC has two campus locations in Warminster and Exton Pennsylvania. Both campuses offer career training programs in Automotive, Hi-Performance, Diesel and Collision Repair. A Marine Service program is offered at the Warminster, PA campus. For more information about ATC, contact Admissions at 888-881-8140 (Warminster) or 888-321-8992 (Exton) or visit www.autotraining.edu.

Auto Repair Industry Historically Flourishes During Down Economy
If history repeats itself, the auto repair and maintenance industry may again fare favorably in the current economic forecast. During the Great Depression, the new automotive repair and maintenance industry not only survived the turmoil, but reputable brand names flourished during that period with increased profit margins each year. Auto repair shops -- both big and small -- nationwide have reported large sales growth. In addition, the Bureau of Labor statistics projects the employment in this industry will grow 14 percent by 2016, compared to a 10 percent growth projection for all other occupations.
